Join us for our Annual Merit Badge Event!

Spend the day exploring new skills, earning a merit badge (or two), and learning from experienced counselors at the historic Camp Miakonda!

Hosted by the Erie Shores Council Advancement Committee, Merit Badges at Miakonda offers Scouts the opportunity to work toward completing a merit badge through interactive, hands-on instruction. Classes are designed to cover all badge requirements in a single day (as long as the prerequisites are completed beforehand), with sessions lasting up to six hours depending on the merit badge.

Whether you're exploring a new interest or making progress toward advancement, Merit Badge Day is a great opportunity to challenge yourself, learn something new, and enjoy a day of Scouting at one of America's oldest Scout camps.

Registration fee: $22

Your registration includes:

• Merit Badges at Miakonda commemorative patch
• All required class materials and supplies
• Lunch
• A full day of instruction and activities

Things to Know Before You Register

• Please review each merit badge's prerequisites before registering. Some merit badges require work to be completed in advance or after the event in order to earn the badge.
• Scouts should come prepared for a full day of learning. Depending on the class, instruction may take place both indoors and outdoors. Dress for the weather and bring any materials listed in the class description.
• Merit badge classes may last up to six hours and are designed to complete all requirements during the event whenever possible.

Please remember to bring:

• A signed blue card (if required by your unit)
• A notebook and pencil
• A reusable water bottle
• Any prerequisites or materials listed for your selected merit badge(s)
