Camp Alaska challenges Scouts and troops to embrace winter camping while honing outdoor skills in a safe and fun environment. Whether you're camping at Pioneer Scout Reservation, Camp Miakonda, or another favorite location, Camp Alaska is a great opportunity to experience the outdoors during the winter months while following Erie Shores Council's winter camping guidelines.

Camp Alaska Season

Eligible Camping Dates: December 1, 2026 - March 31, 2027

Camp Alaska Patch: Complete the Camp Alaska requirements and purchase your commemorative patches at the Iott Scout Shop or the Pioneer Scout Reservation Trading Post.

Before You Camp: Winter camping requires planning and preparation. Be sure your troop reviews the Erie Shores Council Camp Alaska guidelines, packs appropriate cold-weather gear, and follows all safety requirements before heading out on your adventure.

Council Camp Alaska Weekend

Join troops from across the council for the annual Council Camp Alaska at Pioneer Scout Reservation.

Cost: $10 per person (payment will be collected at camp)

Registration Includes:

• Overnight camping
• Official Camp Alaska patch
• All-you-can-eat pancake breakfast on Sunday morning
