Get ready for the 35th Annual Construction City, where Webelos and Arrow of Light Scouts become engineers, architects, and builders for the day!
Construction City is one of Erie Shores Council's most popular events, challenging Scouts to use teamwork, planning, problem-solving, creativity, and safe construction practices to complete exciting building projects. Along the way, Scouts will develop valuable engineering skills while having an unforgettable experience.
Registration Opens September 14th. This event sells out every year, so register early!

Important Information
- Packs and dens must maintain a 1:1 adult-to-Scout ratio throughout the event.
- No siblings are permitted
- Registration closes November 6 or when event capacity is reached
Parent Leader Meeting
Attending the Parent-Leader Meeting is strongly encouraged to help prepare Scouts for a successful day at Construction City. During the meeting, we'll review event expectations, safety procedures, building guidelines, and answer any questions before event day.

City Division
Open to 4th grade Webelos Scouts and 5th grade Arrow of Light Scouts
Working in teams of 4–5 Scouts, participants will construct a building on an 8' × 8' lot using provided cardboard, tape, tools, and other building materials. Before construction begins, each team must complete the permitting process just like a real construction project.

Bridge Division
Open exclusively to 5th grade Arrow of Light Scouts
Scouts will design and build a 12-foot bridge using the provided materials after completing the permitting process. Bridges are judged on both their structural design and their ability to support weight while using materials efficiently. This division combines engineering, teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving in an exciting hands-on challenge.
