Wild Wild Betz Cub Scout and Webelos Camp

Event Details

Come to the Wild, Wild Betz Cub Scout/ Webelos Camp!

Cub Scouts will camp by unit, but Saturday's program will group Cubs by age/rank.

Every Cub Scout camping at this event should have a parent/guardian in attendance.  In all cases, each youth participant is responsible to a specific adult.  This event is open to registered Cub Scouts and their parents and leaders; siblings are not invited.  We will not have any activities for siblings.

You will need to provide your own Tent, sleeping bag, BSA uniform, and personal gear.  All campsites have picnic tables and are in the woods.  You will need to carry your gear from the parking lot to your campsite, so bring a wagon or cart.  You will not be able to drive your vehicle to your campsite.

Camp Frank S Betz is a 57 Acre property on Lake Chapin just west of Berrien Springs, Michigan, and has been in continuous operation as a Boy Scout camp since 1922.  It is located about 1 hour 15 min from the Munster Service Center,  about 1 hour 40 min from the Chicago Service Center & LaGrange Service Center, and about 2 hours 10 min from the Arlington Heights Service Center.  All times do not include possible traffic or construction delays that are possible especially on Friday nights.  Two flush toilet restroom facilities are available at camp, one of which has individual showers.

Checkin 6:00 PM Chicago Time to 9:00 PM  Friday, if you will be arriving after 9:00 PM please email lodgechief@oa110.org your estimated late arrival time.  Sunday, you should plan to depart before 10:00 AM Chicago Time.  Camp Betz runs on Chicago Time, so be sure to check your phone, as it may have adjusted to Eastern time by the time you arrive at camp.

The Shooting Sports Committee will be offering the Cub Scout Shooting Sports Awards requirements at the Archery and BB Gun ranges at this event. Once the scout completes the shooting and improvement portion on the range for his award, they will make arrangements to come to a Pack or Den meeting to complete any remaining qualifications that DO NOT require shooting.

Meals on Saturday Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Sunday Breakfast included in price.
