Scouts and Venturers from across the Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana will join in an adventure of a lifetime!
Based on geographic location, Scouts and Venturers from the same troop or crew AND neighboring troops and crews will come together to form contingent troops and crews consisting of 40 participants (36 youth and four adult leaders).
Registering for the 2026 National Scout Jamboree is a two-step process:
Step 1: Youth attending the Jamboree with Pathway to Adventure Council register on this website and make their Jamboree payments on schedule. For youth Jamboree registrations, be sure to use youth registrant’s BSA Member ID, not a parent’s or guardian’s BSA Member ID number.
Step 2: Apply to attend the Jamboree on the National Scout Jamboree website, https://jamboree.scouting.org/. All interested youth and adult applicants can apply to attend the Jamboree. For youth Jamboree applicants, be sure to use youth applicant’s BSA Member ID, not a parent’s or guardian’s BSA Member ID number.
*Your application/registration process is not complete until you register on this website AND submit your application on the National website.
Scout Participant Qualifications:
- MUST have a current Scouting America membership.
- MUST be at least 12 years of age by the first day of the Jamboree but has not reached their 18th birthday by the last day of the Jamboree.
- RECOMMENDED: be at least a First Class Scout by the first day of the Jamboree
- MUST be approved by your unit leader and Pathway to Adventure Council.
- MUST have appropriate parent/guardian complete the online parental consent. (An email will be sent to the parent/guardian of any applicant currently 17 years of age or younger during the application process.)
- Participate in pre-Jamboree training experience with local council and unit leader.
- Submit Scouting America Annual Health & Medical Record using the on-line Jamboree submission process. The AHMR must be dated on or after July 1, 2025.
- Submit all registration fees per payment schedule below.
Venturer Participant Qualifications:
- Crew members MUST have a current Scouting America membership with a Venturing crew.
- Has not reached their 21st birthday by the last day of the Jamboree (July 31, 2026)
- MUST be approved by your unit leader and Pathway to Adventure Council.
- MUST have appropriate parent/guardian complete the online parental consent. (An email will be sent to the parent/guardian of any applicant currently 17 years of age or younger during the application process.)
- Participate in pre-Jamboree training experience with local council and unit leader.
- Submit Scouting America Annual Health & Medical Record using the on-line Jamboree submission process. The AHMR must be dated on or after July 1, 2025.
- Submit all registration fees per payment schedule below.
Young Adult Participant Qualifications:
- MUST have a current Scouting America membership.
- MUST be at least 18 years of age by the first day of the Jamboree but has not reached their 21st birthday by the last day of the Jamboree.
- MUST be housed as an adult due to chronological age, while allowed to participate in program consistent with a youth participant.
- MUST be approved by Pathway to Adventure Council.
- Participate in pre-Jamboree training experience with local council and unit leader.
- Submit Scouting America Annual Health & Medical Record using the on-line Jamboree submission process. The AHMR must be dated on or after July 1, 2025.
- Submit all registration fees per payment schedule below.
Adult Leader Participant Qualifications:
All Jamboree Scoutmasters, First, Second, Third Assistant Scoutmasters, Unit Care Provider, and Adult Chaperones MUST meet the following requirements:
- MUST have a current Scouting America membership in Pathway to Adventure Council.
- All leaders regardless of assigned position MUST be at least 21 years of age by the first day of the Jamboree.
- MUST be approved by Pathway to Adventure Council
- Scoutmaster, First, Second or Third Assistant Scoutmasters MUST currently be serving in any unit-level leadership position.
- Scoutmaster applicants MUST have completed appropriate leader specific training.
- All adult leaders MUST be current with Safeguarding Youth Training.
- All adults must register online through the Jamboree registration system as a “Leader”. The council will designate specific leadership or chaperone positions at the time the Jamboree units are assigned.
- Participate and assist in planning the pre-Jamboree training experience with local council.
- Submit Scouting America Annual Health & Medical Record using the on-line Jamboree submission process. The AHMR must be dated on or after July 1, 2025.
- Submit all registration fees per payment schedule below.
* Adults registered as Council Contigent Staff will receive a $400 credit after the event. You must work 6 out of the 7 days to be eligible for this credit. Reach out to event contacts for more information.
Fees and Payment Schedule:
The participant fee is $2,850 per person. The participant fee includes:
- National Jamboree fee
- Two (2) training weekend campouts before the Jamboree
- Transportation to/from Jamboree
- Meals to/from Jamboree
- Lodging while traveling to the Jamboree
- Participants are responsible for their uniforms (two complete field/class A uniforms), personal gear (e.g., mess kit and sleeping bag), spending money, and trading patches
- All Troop/Crew gear such as tents, cots, stoves, troop pots/pans, tables, etc.
Depending on Contingent Travel costs, per person fees may increase.

All participant payments are non-refundable but can be transferred to another non-registered participant who replaces a cancelling participant. Additionally, application requires that the Scouts and Venturers abide by the specific policies of the Jamboree and failure of any participant to adhere to those policies will serve as grounds to have their participation revoked (with no refund).
