Outdoor Ethics Guide at Merit Badge College

Event Details

CANCELLED

The Outdoor Ethics Guide is a 3-hour session that will introduce youth and adults to the Outdoor Ethics Guide position duties and responsibilities, and give them tools to be successful with the position.  Besides being a youth leadership position, both youth and adults could earn the Outdoor Ethics Action Award for minimizing impacts on future unit outings.

This free course for youth and adult leaders who will be their unit mentor will take place from 9:00am - 12:00pm during the Merit Badge College at Moraine event. It is open to Scouts who are participating in Merit Badge College, but it would take the place of a badge class.

Participants should download the position handbook that will be referenced during the session:  https://www.scouting.org/outdoor-programs/outdoor-ethics-guide/. Information on the award can be found at:  https://www.scouting.org/outdoor-programs/outdoor-ethics/awards/scouts-bsa/
