Cub Scout STEM Adventure
Cub Scout
STEM Adventure
Portage Creek District - Triton College - National Fluid Power Association
OPEN TO ANY PTAC CUB SCOUT
This event is designed to introduce Cub Scouts to fluid power (hydraulics) and simple machines in a hands-on manner. Scouts will build one of four simple devices to learn how lever and linkages work. Each Scout will receive a BSA Cub Scout Adventure loop and take home the device they made. Scouts can be inspired to design machines of their own, and better understand the engineering of the full sized machines we see on building sites.
This event is exculsive to Tiger, Wolf and Bear Cub Scouts. Each Scout should be accompanied by an adult.
According to the official guidelines, it is mandatory for all Scouts to be accompanied by a parent during their activities. Safety and supervision are of the utmost importance to ensure a positive experience for everyone involved.
