Klondike Derby - Voyageur Trace & Twin Lakes Districts

Event Details

2020 Klondike Derby
Voyageur Trace & Twin Lakes Districts

A Klondike derby is the annual Voyageur Trace District hosted event held in January based on the heritage of the Klondike Gold Rush.

The derby consists of several stations where patrols/units must test their Scoutcraft skills and their leadership abilities, earning points towards a total score. The patrol must transport their gear on a homemade sled pulled by the Scouts. The Patrol that earns the most points in the scout skills competition will take home the Klondike Derby Traveling Trophy (pictured below) to display in you meeting place over the next year.

The VT District has specific guidelines for the construction of sleds (see the 2019 info packet on right side of screen under Attachments - these guidelines will be used for the 2020 klondfike Derbey)

The Derby is open to all Scouts BSA Patrols from Pathway to Adventure Council
