BALOO Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Training C32 - Schaumburg

Event Details

BALOO is the Cub Scout leader training required for any Cub Scout den or pack outdoor event, including pack camping overnighters and Webelos den overnighters. This course also replaces the previous OWLS Course.

BALOO training is comprised of two components—an online component and this practical,hands-on component. Both components must be completed to qualify as a “TRAINED” Cub Scout outdoor leader. The online component is available through the BSA Learning Center at my.scouting.org and must be completed prior to the practical component.

This practical portion of BALOO is an overnight camping experience and will cover GPS, aquatics, gear selection, nature & hiking, outdoor ethics, cooking & sanitation, first aid, cub scout knife safety and much, much more.

Cost is $45.

Online registration is a must. Registered participants will be sent an equipment list prior to the camp out. BSA Medical Form A & B are required.

Check in begins at 7:00 a.m. Saturday and we will begin promptly at 8:00 a.m. We should conclude by 11:00 a.m. on Sunday.
