Open to Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Venturers and Families
Come have a great day of hiking the beautiful Deep River County Park! Choose your own distance! Advancement stations for Cub Scouts starts at 8:30am next to registration.

Deer River County Park, Hobart, IN (Enter at the Ainsworth Road entrance)
The hike traditionally attracts over 1,000 visitors. Each group selects their own hiking distance and may choose from 5 or 10-mile hiking trails. The event will take place regardless of rain, sleet, or snow. It is recommended that packs bring banners so your members can find you at the event.
Carpooling is encouraged as parking is limited.
Cost: $5.00 per person. The price includes the event patch, parking, and entrance into the “Old Mill”.
The Order of the Arrow concession stand will offer coffee, donuts, pop, hotdogs, chips,
candy, and hot chocolate.
Location: Deep River County Park
Registration, concession stand, and Trail Hike Kick-off are located on Ainsworth Road (just east of Randolph Street). Registration begins as at 8 a.m., and the hike begins at 9 a.m.
Please adhere to the wishes of the park staff: (1) no dogs or pets are permitted, and (2) stay on approved/marked trails. All Scouts, Scouters and families should practice
Leave No trace.
The hike is sponsored by The Order of the Arrow, which uses the proceeds to fund projects at Camp Frank S. Betz.
