All Districts Pinewood Derby 2018
April 15, 2018

This is the all districts event where Pack competition winners compete against other winners.  Pinewood Derby Race and Design Rules are available for review and distribution to Pack derby winners.  Up to 36 Cub Scouts per Pack may be entered, 18 race and 18 design.  See the Derby Registration Packet for registration details and Winners’ letters 

  New attraction will be the Lego derby.  Scouts and siblings will be able to build and run a Lego car on a special Lego track.

Open competition for all youth and adults will be available too following Cub Scout competition!

$5 entry fee will apply through April 11 otherwise $10.  But there is no cost to come and see the racing and design competition

Check-in will start at 11 am, Racing and Design judging from noon to 5 pm.

Lion and Tigers:

11:00am-12:00pm - Check-in all cars (speed & design)

12:00pm Design Judging begins

1:00pm Race begins Tiger Award Ceremonies immediately follow Design- and Race completions*


12:00pm-1:00 Check-in all cars (speed & design)

1:00pm Design Judging begins

2:00pm Race begins Wolf Award Ceremonies immediately follow Design- and Race completions*


1:00pm-2:00pm Check-in all cars (speed & design)

2:00pm Design Judging begins

3:00pm Race begins Bear Award Ceremonies immediately follow Design- and Race completions*

Webelos I and II:

2:00pm-3:00pm Check-in all cars (speed & design)

3:00pm Design Judging begins 4:00pm Race begins

Webelos I and II Award Ceremonies immediately follow Design- and Race completions*

Open Class:

          4:30 pm Race begins


The top winners from Lion, Tiger, Wolf, Bear, Webelos 1 and Webelos 2 will compete for Overall Speed at the completion of the Webelos race!!!

The open class completion for all Scouts, Siblings, family and friends will follow the overall speed completion.

There will be open Lego racing available throughout the derby.  Everyone will be able to build and race a Lego car on an exciting special track. 

Adult volunteers are sought for setup, track operations and judging.
