2017 Annual Distinguished Citizen Dinner
Please join us as we honor Tom and Susan’s laudable contributions at the 2017 Distinguished Citizens Dinner on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Gamba’s Ristorante, 455 East 84th Drive, Merrillville, Ind.  A reception will begin at 6:00 p.m. and dinner with be served at 7:00 p.m.

Event Background
For 25 years, the Boy Scouts of America of Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana has recognized top community leaders through the annual Distinguished Citizens Award Dinner. It is with great pleasure that we announce this year’s honorees: Tom Sourlis and Susan Eleuterio.

Tom and Susan have made a significant impact on our communities by donating their time, energy, resources, and expertise to an array of worthy causes.

As Founder and Chairman of Mortar Net Solutions, Tom is a masonry expert with several proprietary patents that keep the health and safety of our environment top of mind. His other numerous talents include glass artistry, gardening and rugby.

Susan Eleuterio is a folklorist, educator, activist, non-profit consultant, and avid beekeeper. She is the Co-Chair of the Board of Directors for Crossroads Fund, which supports community organizations working on issues of racial, social, and economic justice in Chicago, and an adjunct faculty member for Goucher College’s Masters of Cultural Sustainability Program.
