Rock On at Vulcan: Webelos Earth Rocks Adventure!

Uncover the dynamic world of geology right inside a real quarry! Join us for an action-packed morning where Webelos Scouts discover how earth science impacts their everyday lives, explore Illinois's unique geological history, and see how rocks and minerals shape the world around us.

Why Attend?

• Quarry Exploration: Kick off the adventure with a guided, narrated bus ride all the way down to the base of the quarry!
• Interactive Activity Stations: Explore hands-on stations focused on rocks, minerals, and geological events—including a refreshment station with snacks and drinks.

Who: All 9, 10, 11 yr old Scouts; Bears, Webelos and Arrow of Light Scouts

When: Saturday, September 19, 2026 | 7:00 AM – 11:30 AM

Where: McCook Quarry — 5500 W. 55th Street, McCook, IL

Cost: $15 per Scout | Adults are FREE (Limit 2 adults per 5 Scouts)
