What: Each Den/Pack will check in with their sled and their six essentials before starting any stations. They will be checked for appropriate apparel. No scout will be permitted to stay if not wearing boots. They should have a den/Pack cheer.

Each group will move around the grounds to the identified stations.

Hot Chocolate and camp donuts will be available outside the warming station located in Black Bear Lodge

Stations

· Build a snowman: Out of snow if available, or a mini snowman out of clay if not. Each den/Pack will create an original figure out of snow or clay. They may bring items to enhance their figure.

· Snowball targets: Each den/Pack will throw balls of snow or plush balls at a target circle on a tarp. · Animal Track identification: Each den/Pack will locate and identify hanging tracks and mark off on an identification list.

· Sensory bottles: Each Scout will make a sensory bottle from water, oil, glitter, and food coloring.

· Blubber vs feathers: Scouts will hypothesize which will insulate better, blubber or feathers; then try on mitts made from Ziplock bags filled with feathers or lard and submerge their hands into icy water; check if their conclusion was correct

· Exploding snowman: Scouts will draw a snowman on the outside of a quart zip lock. Then add vinegar with baking soda and watch the snowman expand and explode

· Sled pull: Each den/Pack will pull their sled with their six essentials along a set course for a timed run.
