- Become a Certified Instructor: This 2-day, 16-hour course trains Scouters (ages 18+) to become nationally recognized Leave No Trace Level 1 Instructors, authorized to teach outdoor ethics and certify others.

- Hands-On, Practical Training: Participants will actively teach one of the 7 Leave No Trace principles in a 10–12 minute session, gaining real-world experience in outdoor ethics education.

- Meets National Standards: Fulfills Scouting America’s National Camp Standards and requirement #5 of the Outdoor Ethics Awareness Award.

- Expand Your Impact: Equip yourself to lead workshops across Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, Sea Scouts, Exploring, and Venturing programs, as well as Council and District events.

- Led by Experts: Courses are facilitated by certified Level 2 Instructors, ensuring your training is recognized by both Scouting America and the Leave No Trace organization.

- All-Inclusive Registration: Course fee includes learning materials and a 6-month membership to Leave No Trace—just bring a notebook, pen, water bottle, lunch, and dress for outdoor sessions.
