W.O.W. weekend is right around the corner. Although the early registration deadline has passed, there is still time to register. Bring your units for an exciting weekend of activities that include rock climbing, BMX bikes, and BB guns.
The first goal of WOW is to have fun. We want all of the scouts that attend to leave this weekend wanting more. The secondary goal is to allow Webelos and Arrow of Light Scouts the opportunity to interact with Troops that they could join after crossing over. They will learn how they camp and cook in the outdoors. The younger scouts will learn from the older scouts during the day at the stations listed above. If you are part of a Troop, this is your opportunity to recruit new scouts to your unit by showing them how amazing you all are.
Please join us for an amazing weekend, October 10-12, 2025, at Camp Sol Crown (about an hour away). Please reach out to me if you have any questions. The most frequently asked questions are addressed below.

Tristar WOW Frequently Asked Questions
When is the last day to register?
Early registration has passed, but you can still attend! Registration will remain open until October 3rd.
What are the activities?
We have an amazing lineup of activities planned! These include a rock climbing wall, a BMX pump track, BB guns, a s’mores contest, and several more. There will be something for scouts of all interests and abilities.
What is the schedule for Webelos and Arrow of Light Scouts?
WOW participants have a lot of options to participate. Most Packs will arrive Saturday morning between 7:00 and 8:30 am. Packs are also welcome to arrive Friday night if they wish. The program will run all day, with plenty of time for breaks and meals. We will close the event on Saturday evening around the fire ring, which will conclude around 9:00 pm. There are no scheduled activities on Sunday. Campers can depart at their leisure.
Do I need to camp all weekend?
No! Camp all weekend, stay for one night, or leave after the activities wrap-up on Saturday. The program is designed to allow the younger scouts to interact with older scouts, but we want everyone to feel welcome to attend.
What is the schedule for the Troops?
Troops can arrive anytime after 6:00 pm on Friday. We will have a 9:00 pm leader and SPL meeting to get organized for Saturday’s activities.
When will I find out my campsite and who I am camping with?
We plan to send further information about logistics and detailed itineraries for each unit between October 1st and 2nd. Units that register late may receive their information beyond that timeline.
Do I need to prepare food for myself or my unit?
Webelos and Arrow of Light Scouts do not need to prepare their own meals. They will be paired with the Troops to learn how to cook in the outdoors. The goal of this program is to give Webelos and Arrow of Light Scouts an opportunity to learn and interact with the older scouts. PTAC will not supply food for any units at this event.
