Join other Scouts and Scouters exploring all that Carillon Historical Park has to offer.  Filled with information about Dayton’s rich history of Industry, while camping under the famous Carillon Bell tower.  Scouts will have the opportunity to earn up to 2 merit badges on Saturday.

***New option! Scouts whose troops are not camping for the Carillon Camporee may sign-up for a Saturday-only option. These scouts will be entitled to participate in all of the activities offered on Saturday, March 25 at Carillon Historical Park, aside from camping. Scouts will have the opportunity to earn up to two merit badges during the day on Saturday, have entrance to the park included, receive an event patch, and participate in the closing "campfire" program in the evening. 

Who: Scouts BSA members, youth only (11-17 years old). Parents/guardians of scouts are welcome to attend but will need to purchase their own entrance into Carillon Park the day of the event when they enter the park (~$12).

Cost: $20/scout. 

When/where: Saturday, March 25. Scouts need to check-in at the Registration tent at 8:30am on 3/25.

9:00a - Opening Flags

9:30a-11:30a - Morning MB class session

11:30a-1:30p - Lunch break/explore park

1:30p-3:30p - Afternoon MB class session

3:30p-5:00p - Explore park

5:00p - Carillon Park closes

7:00p - Closing "campfire" program by Bell Tower

If scouts are taking Astronomy MB, they will need to also participate in star gazing sessions near Bell Tower on Friday night 8-10p and Saturday night 8:30-10:30p in order to earn the badge. Scouts will meet at the Registration Tent.​

What to bring: Reusable water bottle, pre-requisites for merit badge(s) scout signed up for, sack lunch and dinner (or money if scout decides to buy lunch at Carillon Park), snacks for throughout the day, backpack to carry gear, pen/pencil and notebook, appropriate clothing for the weather, cell phone (if applicable).
