On The Buckskin Trail, you will become a member of a patrol, as part of a model Troop. You will learn about the aims and methods of Scouting, about the roles adults and youth play in a troop, and the skills needed to carry on a quality outdoor program. You'll have the opportunity to camp and work with other leaders from all over the Council as you learn valuable information and refresh your skills.

The Buckskin Trail is held on one Wednesday evening and one full weekend. An additional outside Patrol meeting or meetings may be necessary. Participants who complete the Trail will receive training for Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills, Outdoor Webelos Leader Training (OWL), and Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO).
