TALK OF OUR COUNCIL - 4th Quarter October 2025

Talk of the Council will be delivered two times each quarter. The Tuesday edition will take place in in one of the northern counties (Darke, Preble, Miami, or Shelby) and the Wednesday edition will take place in Montgomery County. The content is the same for both editions. You choose which one you'd like to attend!

October’s Talk of Our Council: All About Den Chiefs
This month’s roundtable-style gathering will focus on Den Chiefs—one of the most valuable resources for Cub Scout packs and Scouts BSA troops alike!

For Cub Scout Leaders: Learn how Den Chiefs can bring energy, leadership, and Scout spirit into your den and pack meetings. Discover practical ways to engage Den Chiefs in activities, leverage their skills to support younger Scouts, and create a stronger Cub program.

For Scouts BSA Leaders: Who in your troop would make a great Den Chief? We’ll explore the leadership characteristics to look for, how to encourage Scouts to step into this role, and how Den Chief service benefits both the troop and the pack.
