Thunderbase 2018

Event Details

The Adventure Continues!

Thunderbase is THE largest party in the area for all Scouts, Scouters, and their families!  The party starts Friday night with a Glo Run and OA Call Outs, then kicks off Saturday morning with a Fun Run and Patriotic opening.

Unparalleled experiences offered all day Saturday:

Scout Skills,
STEM activities,
Trade Unions,
and more than you can ever do in one day!

THUNDERBASE 2018 is open to everyone. There will be activities for kids of all ages including Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Sea Scouts, Venturing and Explorers. The event is open to the public so Scouts are encouraged to invite their friends to attend. Camping is open to all Scout units (BSA Guidelines must be followed).

Following the concert, Saturday night will close with an amazing fireworks show! On Sunday morning, join us for a religious services (a Catholic Mass and a non-denominational service will be available) and the world's largest park clean-up.

We also have new food vendors, less lines, and more options.  A complete list of food and pricing will be available soon. Vendors will be available Friday dinner through Sunday breakfast.

Each registrant must complete the Health Form Parts A & B. Click here to download a copy. This should be kept with your unit.

The entire staff for THUNDERBASE 2018 would like to share with you just some of the adventures and activities that will be available to every Scout and Scouter in The Simon Kenton Council and beyond!

Event Volunteers:   We are looking for people to assist during the event.  For helping us make this a fantastic event you'll receive a staff hat, t-shirt, lanyard, meals, and staff CSP.
