Join Us for Merit Badge Day at Ohio University

Merit Badge University, hosted by the Upsilon Chapter of Epsilon Tau Pi, provides Eagle Scouts with a meaningful opportunity to give back to the Scouting program. Members of the fraternity will lead a variety of merit badge sessions based on their college majors and personal interests, offering both Eagle-required and non–Eagle-required badges.

The event will be held at Porter Hall on Ohio University’s Main Campus. There are various parking lots located close to Porter Hall for parents to park to drop off their scouts. 

The event will consist of two sessions separated by lunch. Some merit badges will require attendance for both sessions, while others will be offered as half-day sessions, allowing Scouts to mix and match badges based on their interests and availability. There will be 10 merit badges offered, 5 of them being Eagle rank required. 

• Full Day MBs: Emergency Preparedness, First Aid, Game Design, and Sustainability
• MBs Offered in the Morning: Art, Citizenship in Nation, and Photography,
• MBs Offered in the Afternoon: Citizenship in Society, Law, and Weather
