Learn how to become a Leave No Trace Trainer. 

Participants in this two-day, 16-hour Instructor Course will learn: the role and function of a Leave No Trace Level 1 Instructor; the Principles and Ethics of Leave No Trace; teaching skills, techniques, and methods; an overview of the national Leave No Trace program; and, the role and function of the Leave No Trace organization.

This course is a formal Leave No Trace Level 1 Instructor course under the guidelines of the BSA and the Leave No Trace organization. Successful completion of the course entitles participants to be recognized as a Leave No Trace Level 1 Instructor and, if desired, to be listed on the national database of Leave No Trace Level 1 Instructors. Most of the training will be held outdoors.

Participants must be age 18 and older.
