Baloo training
BALOO stands for Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation
This training event is designed to introduce Cub Scout Leaders to pack overnight camping. Included in this course are new ideas for outdoor activities, games, ceremonies, planning successful campfire programs, selecting and using camping equipment and hands-on Cub Scout cooking demonstrations! You will leave this event knowing all you need to know to make your pack overnighters fun and filled with lasting memories for your scouts!
Why do I need to take BALOO training?
Pack Overnighters require mandatory completion of this course by one attending adult. The new Cub Scout program has an increased emphasis on overnight adventures at every rank.
OWL stands for Outdoor Webelos Leader Training
This training is designed specifically for Webelos den leaders and their assistants to teach outdoor-related skills through demonstration and hands-on-practice. Webelos den leaders need to attend this training before conducting Webelos overnight camping with the boys and parents of the den.
Bring: Pencil or pen, notebook, pocket knife, leaders books, mug or cup, and a folding chair.
Be Prepared! This is rain or shine, warm or cold weather!
