$15.00-inlcudes lunch and course materials

BALOO stands for Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation.  It's designed to introduce Cub Scout leaders to the newly expanded opportunities for pack overnight camping.  It's more than just camping-it includes ideas for outdoor activities, games and ceremonies; information on selecting and using camping equipment; how to run a campfire program; and hands-on Cub Scout cooking demonstrations!  In short, everything you need to know to make your pack overnighter a fun, successful event!

This course is designed to help Webelos leaders enhance the outdoor program for the Webelos Scouts in their den by teaching some basic outdoor skills as well as skills needed to complete many of the Webelos activity badges.

Why do I need to take OWL training?

While Baloo is required for someone trained to be at the campout, OWL gives you the hands-on of camping in addition to showing you how to incorporate Webelos activity badges into a camp outing.  After all, isn't that why the boys signed up for Scouts?
