Firelands Scout Reservation is excited to be working with the Cleveland Chapter of Ohio Contractors Association to bring to camp a Skilled Trades Fair. It will include cement masons, carpenters, pipefitters and more! Scouts will be able to interact with all trades. Some trades will have a hands-on activity such as a mini excavator with a bowling ball attached. Scouts will be able to master their construction skills.  

Join us for the weekend of May 19th, there will be a leader's meeting on Friday night at 8pm.  Each scout will have two rotations, one in the morning and a different rotation in the afternoon.  The morning session will begin with flags at 9 and the program will go from 9:15 to 12:15. Lunch will be provided from 12:30 to 1:45pm. The afternoon session will begin at 2pm and go on until 5pm. We will have a closing flag ceremony at 5:15. Scouts will be dismissed for dinner until 7pm. At 7pm we will gather for a campfire and a movie. So come prepared with your favorite skit.  Sunday morning camp will close at 10am 

A campsite will be provided.

The effort those 50-some contractors, “who turned Ohio’s mud roads into brick, concrete and macadam and worked under horse-and-buggy rules,” had, in coming together, was the forming of a group that today is a leading voice for Ohio’s heavy, highway and utility industry.
