Pioneer Forward Spring Camporee

After five years of coming out of the winter’s cold to celebrate the Spring Camporee at Camp Stigwandish, we were asked to relocate our homestead to a new place.  Not sure where we would go to settle down,  hearty groups of strong brave scouts set out to “Blaze a New Trail” into the eastern wilderness during the dead of winter. After traveling a number of miles they came across a new clearing that would be great to settle on. Work then began to expand the trail so we could load up our Conestoga wagons to head to the new settlement. It will be a challenging journey for the groups of Scouts to “Pioneer Forward” going through many obstacles and over the high mountains. It is at a place called Camp Beaumont that we will start a new tradition of the Best Spring Camporee around. Come out and join us at our new settlement. There we will have many of the old time activities from the Old West. Some of the activities will be candle dipping, homemade dyes, pioneering, rifle shooting, archery, campfire building and of course the Jimmie O’Dell Gold Griddle competition to name a few. Who has what it takes to take the top prize?

 Cost--Early Bird--Youth-$22.00, Adults-$13.00       (Ends 3/27/2021 at 11:59 pm)

          Regular Fee--Youth-$25.00, Adults-$15.00   

          Late Fee--Youth-$30.00, Adults-$20       (Starts 4/12/2021 at 12:00 am)

---Requested Campsites will be assigned first-come/first-served based upon unit sign-up date.  Sign up early and get your favorite campsite!

---14-Day COVID Temperature and Pre-Screening Questionnaire must be filled out for EVERY person (including non-campers such as drivers and passengers) in each vehicle for admittance into camp and given to the Medical Officer at Check-in.  Temperatures will be taken for every person in each vehicle. If anyone in the vehicle has a temperature of 100.0F or higher, the entire vehicle will be turned away and must leave Camp. Temperatures will need to be taken and recorded on the form starting April 9, 2021.  Participants must bring their own face masks, and wear them during the entire event. 

---Units need to fill out the Mobile Rock Climbing Wall Parent Consent Sign-in sheet prior to Camporee, for Youth planning on using the Mobile Climbing Wall.

---BSA Annual Health and Medical Forms Parts A and B must be filled out for each participant and given to the Medical Officer at Check-in. The forms will be returned at Check-out.
