We are excited to announce the return of summer Cub Scout overnight camps. S'more Cub Adventures are 2 weekends of Cub Scout activities that are designed to help Cub Scouts in Tigers through Arrow of Light complete adventures for their rank requirements.

Campers arrive Thursday afternoon to check in and get their campsites set up. After dinner Thursday evening, camp volunteers will take groups on tours of camp so Scouts, parents, and leaders can see where all the action happens on Friday and Saturday.

After breakfast Friday morning, the fun begins. Scouts with their families or dens will participate in a variety of fun and exciting activities throughout the day that will help them complete requirements for required and elective Adventures for their ranks. These activities will be scheduled so that packs/dens can make their plans for what they want to accomplish. While many of these programs will be open to whoever wants to participate, some activities such as shooting sports, climbing, and aquatics will be scheduled to give all campers an opportunity to participate. Activities will connect with requirements in the adventures listed below. Some activities will cover requirements from multiple ranks. Friday evening after dinner, the whole camp is invited to Gilwell field for a movie with popcorn. Those who stay until after the movie can look at the stars and work on Astronomy based Adventures.

Saturday's activities follow much in the same way, except that we will be welcoming campers coming for just the day. Just like Friday, every camper will have the chance to visit the lake, the ranges, and the climbing tower. After dinner on Saturday, the whole camp will join together at the akela fire ring to sing songs, perform skits, tell stories, and watch their fellow scouts being recognized for their achievements over the weekend. After the fire, Scouts can roast marshmallows and make s'mores. This fun-filled weekend promises to be a great experience for all who attend.

Food Service:

Packs, Dens, and families should plan to make all of their meals at camp. Refreshments and snacks are available at the trading post during the day on Friday and Saturday. We will also provide an option for campers to order pizzas for Saturday night that will be delivered to camp for pick-up at the dining hall.
