Registration closes for this event on March 4th, 2022 at 11:59PM. No additional registrations may be taken after this date. 
We’re excited to host Merit Badge University #12 on Friday and Saturday, March 18-19!

Scouts are given the opportunity to work on and complete a variety of merit badges. The goal is to allow the Scout to grow and learn about the world and the different career fields available to them.

Event Schedule at a Glance:

Friday (Additional fee option)

5:00 pm   Registration Opens. (Ellsworth H. Augustus Center)

8:00 pm   Registration Closes. (Ellsworth H. Augustus Center)

5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Camp set up

7:15 pm to 10:15   Friday Night Merit Badge Session

10:30 pm Cracker Barrel (Ellsworth H. Augustus Center)

11:30 pm Lights Out

Saturday:

7:00 am - 8:00 am: Breakfast at Augustus (Friday Overnight Campers only)

8:00 am: Saturday Registration Opens. (Ellsworth H. Augustus Center)

8:45 am: Saturday Registration Closes. (Ellsworth H. Augustus Center)

8:40 am: Flag Raising and Announcements. (Parade Field)

9:00 am to Noon: Merit Badge Sessions Begin

12:15 to 12:45 PM: Lunch at Augustus (Ticket Required from Event Registration)

1:00 pm to 4 PM: Merit Badge Sessions Continue

4:00 pm to 6:00 pm Break Friday Night’s Camp and Dismissal

Class Registration:

One Merit Badge is available to be taken Friday Night.

One Merit Badge is available to be taken on Saturday.

Only online registration will be accepted. Once you have registered your Troop or Scout and chosen which option you would like, the online system will directly allow you to select the merit badge classes desired.  The program will show how many seats are available for each class.

Please review the list of Merit Badge classes offered at this MBU and help your Scouts determine what classes they would be interested in and best suited to take. It is very important that leaders help their Scouts choose a badge that is appropriate to their age, rank and maturity level. Please go over the requirements with your Scouts before they are signed up and make sure they know what will be expected of them.

Updated LEC COVID-19 Policy as of 1/5/22

1) Face masks are required while inside Lake Erie Council buildings at Beaumont Scout Reservation, Firelands Scout Reservation, and the Unit Service Center in Cleveland.
2) Scouts and adults are strongly encouraged to wear masks at indoor meeting places while participating in the Scouting program.
3) While maintaining appropriate social distancing is imperative, masks are strongly encouraged in any group gathering while outside.
4) If you or someone in your family is experiencing symptoms of illness, refrain from attending any Scouting meetings or activities. Please continue to wash your hands and practice good hygiene at all times.
