MERIT BADGE UNIVERSITY 2020

What's Happening?

Scouts are given the opportunity to work on and complete a various of merit badges outside of the summer camp setting. The goal is to allow the Scout to grow and learn about the world and the different career fields available to them.

ALL OF THE MERIT BADGES ARE ALL DAY CLASSES!

PARTICIPANTS CAN ONLY SCHEDULE ONE CLASS!

Overnight Camping is NOT part of either MBU because of the Social Distancing guidelines for events.

ALL CAMPING WILL BE ADMINISTERED UNDER THE WEEKEND CAMPING GUIDELINES ANNOUNCED IN AUGUST 2020. GO TO WWW.LEC.BSA.ORG FOR RESERVATIONS!

9:00 am to 12:00 pm Merit Badge Instruction
12:00 pm to 1:00 pm Lunch
1:00 pm to 4 pm Merit Badge Instruction
4:00 pm to 5:00 pm Participant Pick Up

Class Registration:

Only online registration will be accepted. Once you have registered your Troop or Scout and chosen which option you would like, the online system will directly allow you to select the merit badge classes desired. The program will show how many seats are available for each class. Please review the list of Merit Badge classes offered at this MBU and help your Scouts determine what classes they would be interested in and best suited to take. It is very important that leaders help their Scouts choose a badge that is appropriate to their age, rank and maturity level. Please go over the requirements with your Scouts before they are signed up and make sure they know what will be expected of them.

Registration Fees:

Youth

Early Bird - $20
Regular - $25
Late - $30

Adult

Early Bird - $10
Regular - $15
Late - $20

Health & Safety:

*Merit Badge class sizes have been reduced to a maximum of 8 scouts.

*Temperature checks will occur upon arrival to the event and if anyone has a fever of 100 degrees or higher their full group will be sent home.

Please check your own temperature prior to leaving for the event.

Refunds will not be made for people arriving to the event with a fever.

If you call on the morning of to report symptoms, we will be able to make a refund.

*We also ask that all attendees do a self-assessment for each of the 14 days prior to coming to the event for COVID-19 symptoms (fever, cough, or shortness of breath).

*Medical Forms A & B are required.

*Everyone is required bring a personal face covering that covers your nose to your chin. Wearing your face covering is encouraged for scouts throughout the entire day, and required when in close proximity of others, or indoors.

*Additional hand sanitizing stations will be installed around camp and at each program area. Everyone should sanitize upon arrival and when leaving the program area, and at any transition time.

Food:

To comply with Social Distancing…All Participants will eat their Lunch in their assigned teaching areas.
