STEM Summer

Join us at the Adventure Lab as we explore Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math through our Nova program! This program provides students opportunities to learn through experiments, research, and creation within STEM. Each day of camp will focus on a different STEM topic, where students will conduct a minimum of 3 experiments, learn about key concepts in each field and have discussions with field experts.
The STEM Nova Summer Camp fee includes a lunch each day of camp, a swag bag and a completed experiment to take home!
Scouts attending the STEM Nova Camp can earn credit towards their Nova and Supernova awards, getting them many steps closer to achieving the elusive Albert Einstein Award.
There are three chances this Summer to attend a STEM Nova Camp:

Camp Overview
STEM Nova Camps will run the same every week as follows:
- One day of Science
- One day of Technology
- One day of Engineering
- One day of Math
- Fridays: Teachback days
With guidance from Mentors, students in the Nova camp will lead some of the experiments they’ve learned throughout the week to younger students. This provides STEM Nova Camp students an extra opportunity to practice and solidify what they’ve learned, completes a requirement for a Nova award, creates a peer to peer mentorship chance, and sparks an interest in STEM for younger students.
Students are allowed to attend multiple STEM Nova Camps, however the experiments and learning may be similar.
STEM topics are subject to be taught in any order.
*As Camp 1 is only 4 days because of the Friday holiday (Juneteenth), students attending Camp 1 are able to attend either Friday of the following two Camps to engage in a teachback opportunity.
