What's Happening?          We’re excited to host the Merit Badge University the weekend of June 5, 2021!

Scouts are given the opportunity to work on and complete a various of merit badges outside of the summer camp setting. The goal is to allow the Scout to grow and learn about the world and the different career fields available to them.

Event Schedule at a Glance:

Friday (Additional fee option)

5:00 pm   Registration Opens. (Fishing Shelter)

8:00 pm   Registration Closes. (Fishing Shelter)

5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Camp set up

7:15 pm to 10:15   Merit Badge Session Friday

10:30 pm Cracker Barrell (Avery Hand Dining Hall)

11:30 pm Lights Out

Saturday:

7:00 am  to 8:00 am Breakfast at Avery Hand Dining Hall (Ticket Required from Friday Overnight)

7:30 am Registration Opens. (Fishing Shelter)

8:30 am Registration Closes. (Fishing Shelter)

8:40 am Flag Raising and Announcements. (Gilwell Field)

9:00 am to 12:00 pm Am Merit Badge Session

12:15 to 12:45 Lunch at Avery Hand Dining Hall (Ticket Required from Event Registration)

1:00 pm to 4 pm PM Merit Badge Session

4:00 pm to 6:00 pm Break Friday Night’s Camp and go home

Class Registration:

One Merit Badge is available to be taken Friday Night.

One Merit Badge is available to be taken on Saturday.

Only online registration will be accepted. Once you have registered your Troop or Scout and chosen which option you would like, the online system will directly allow you to select the merit badge classes desired.  The program will show how many seats are available for each class.

Please review the list of Merit Badge classes offered at this MBU and help your Scouts determine what classes they would be interested in and best suited to take. It is very important that leaders help their Scouts choose a badge that is appropriate to their age, rank and maturity level. Please go over the requirements with your Scouts before they are signed up and make sure they know what will be expected of them.

Saturday Only  --Youth    (Includes Lunch on Saturday)

$20.00    Early Bird    (Ends 30 Days before the Event)

$25.00    Regular

$30.00    Late    (Begins 14 Days before the Event)

Saturday Only —Adults     (Includes Lunch on Saturday)

$10.00    Early Bird     (Ends 30 Days before the Event)

$15.00    Regular

$20.00    Late    (Begins 14 Days before the Event)

Friday and Saturday  --Youth    (Includes Breakfast and Lunch on Saturday)

$30.00    Early Bird    (Ends 30 Days before the Event)

$35.00    Regular

$40.00    Late    (Begins 14 Days before the Event)

Friday and Saturday --Adults     (Includes Breakfast and Lunch on Saturday)

     Friday Evening and Saturday Option —Camping Areas will be socially distanced by Unit.

 Friday:

American Labor     Art     Astronomy     Chess     Disability Awareness     Family Life     Railroading     Stamp Collecting     Traffic Safety     Weather

The Astronomy class will extend later than the other Friday classes to allow for time to view the night sky.

 Saturday:

Citizenship in the World     Composite Materials     Environmental Science     First Aid     Fishing     Geocashing     Movie Making     Nature     Photography     Signs, Signals & Codes

Please remember to bring your own merit badge booklet and blue card for each badge taking.  Scoutmaster's signature must be on front of card and on the Scout’s copy of the card.lcome to Merit Badge University 10!
