Leatherwork Exploration
January 24th
10am-2pm
Explore leather’s history and its endless uses. Learn how to make a useful leather item using the same types of raw materials that our ancestors used; be challenged to master skills like hand-stitching, lacing, and braiding.; and discover how to preserve and protect leather items so they will last a lifetime and beyond. With adequate and complete work at home and active, on-task participation during the session, Scouts can expect to complete the Leatherwork Merit Badge.
