INTRODUCTION TO LEADERSHIP SKILLS FOR TROOPS-TRAIN THE LEADER

Introduction to Leadership Skills for Troops (ILST) is a Troop-level introductory training facilitated by the Scoutmaster and Senior Patrol Leader to give the tools needed for youth to lead. This three-hour session is designed train the Scoutmaster, Assistant Scoutmasters, and Senior Youth leaders how to facilitate ILST in their own units by familiarizing them with the syllabus. During the session, the trainers will offer documents and tips to help the Scoutmaster and Senior Patrol Leader to successfully facilitate the training in their own units. ILST is a required pre-requisite for youth interested in taking the week-long National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT).

NOTE:  This is NOT the youth training course (S97), and will not fulfill the NYLT prerequisite.

ABOUT THE EVENT

• Registration check-in starting at 8:30 A.M.
• Session starting at 9:00 A.M.
• The session will conclude at 12:00 P.M.
• Minimum registration is five participants to hold the course
• This course is targeted towards Scoutsmasters, Assistant Scoutmaster, and Senior Youth leaders
