Learn about the important technique of fingerprinting and how it is used by law enforcement officers. Through hands-on experiences, students will gain additional insight into other identification methods like matching dental records and DNA sampling, and understand it’s importance.
Learn and master the oldest board game in the world, Chess. Discover its history, the strategy and planning behind the game, and how to improve your own playing. Using critical thinking skills, explore different tactics and how those tactics relate to your real life outside the board.
With adequate and complete work at home in between sessions and active, on-task participation during the session, Scouts can expect to complete the Chess Merit Badge and the Fingerprinting Merit Badge.
