Sap Camp 2026
Event Details

Sap Camp
Beaumont Scout Reservation
Everyone loves maple syrup on their pancakes, but few know why it is such a premium product. For example, did you know that takes around 43 gallons of sap to make 1 gallon of maple syrup? Scouts will learn how to tap a tree and how much energy it takes to boil down the sap to make syrup.
We invite Scouts to attend Sap Camp at Beaumont Scout Reservation. Participants will learn about the history and process of making maple syrup from our very own trees at camp.
Activities:
- Sap Line Hikes
- Maple Recipes
- Pancake Lunch
- Tree Tapping
- 2-Man Sawing
- Log Splitting
- Tomahawk Throwing
- Syrup Tasting
...and more!
