Today, the Cleveland History Center houses Cleveland Starts Here® sponsored by the Jack, Joesph, and Morton Mandel Foundation, Euclid Beach Park Grand Carousel, WRHS Research Library, the Crawford Auto-Aviation Museum, the Chisholm Halle Costume Wing (home to fashion exhibits), two historic mansions, as well as a variety of rotating exhibits. Scouts can choose to either do Geneology or American Heritage in either the Morning or Afternoon. Citizenship in the Nation will be an all-day course.
Prerequisites will be added once they are confirmed by the merit badge counselors. As always each Scout is responsible for during every part of the merit badge and coming prepared to have a discussion about each requirements.
Citizenship in the Nation: 5,6,8
Genealogy: 2,3
American Heritage: I would like the Scouts to have completed Requirements 2, 3, 4 and 5 before meeting. I also want the Scouts to have completed the workbook for the merit badge- Per the Merit Badge Counselor.
This event is part of Lake Erie Council's Merit Badge University - Explore Cleveland series, and is made possible by a collaboration with the Western Reserve Historical Society.

Through these programs, Scouts will have the opportunity to earn a variety of merit badges while exploring institutions, museums, and businesses in the Cleveland area.
