OA Induction Workshop

Induction workshop is a Lodge training day held at Fireland Scout Reservation that is divided into two basic tracks - Elangomat and Ceremonialist
Lunch and Dinner will be provided
Elangomat Track -The Erielhonan Lodge Elangomat Track is designed to teach future elangomats the symbolism and meaning of all aspects of the ordeal so they can help our candidates better understand the ordeal and our Order. This training enables future elangomats to lead ordeal candidates through their ordeal and set them up for future success in our Order.
Participants will:
Learn the purpose, symbolism, and meaning behind each element of the Ordeal experience.
Understand the elangomat’s role as a friend, guide, and example of the OA’s values.
Develop leadership, communication, and service-oriented skills tailored to the Ordeal.
Gain practical tools for handling challenges, supporting candidates, and reinforcing the OA’s purpose.
Ceremonies Track -The Erielhonan Lodge Ceremonies Track is designed to develop skilled and knowledgeable Arrowmen who are committed to preserving and delivering the meaningful traditions of the Order of the Arrow. This training equips new and experienced members alike with the tools needed to conduct impactful and respectful ceremonies that uphold the values of brotherhood, cheerfulness, and service.
Participants will:
Learn the purpose and significance behind the Pre-Ordeal and Ordeal ceremonies.
Explore ceremonial principles rooted in symbolism, tradition, and the Scout Oath and Law.
Develop strong public speaking, character portrayal, and staging skills.
Practice ceremonies in a supportive environment with constructive feedback.
