This session is being sponsored by the GTC Range and Target Activities Committee and has no fee to attend. 

This Training and Certification class required for the operation of the BB, Archery, and/or sling shot ranges of the Great Trail Council Camps. Successful completion of this course will certify participants to operate the BB, Archery, or Sling Shot range for activities conducted on GTC Properties (including Cub Scout Day Camps.) Each section will cover all information needed to comply with BSA safety regulations along with hands-on practice of setting up ranges and delivering safety briefings.  You must attend the full day including the hands on portion in order to earn certification.

9:00am-5:00pm. This is the full course that will give you all the information and practical knowledge needed to properly and safely operate the ranges at GTC properties.

NO meals will be served at training. If attending the course please bring a bag lunch.  We will break for lunch. 

Please dress for the weather, as the course contains a practical component which will occur outdoors at the range.

Before attending the course, read through GTC Ranges Standard Operating procedures.  Also read the following in the National Range and Target Activities Manual: Chapter 9 (Cub Archery and BB), pp. 67-68 (Slingshot), and Appendix 18.
