What: A showcase of scout’s outdoor culinary skills plus fun activities and games for all ages

Why: This event has many purposes:

Show the community that Scouting is alive and well in their communities throughout the Soaring Eagle District.

Give Packs, Boy Troops, Girl Troops, Venture Crews and Explorer Posts an opportunity to recruit new members.

Give AOL scouts a chance to talk with troops in the area

Reach out to adults to explain the value of scouting to today’s youth.

Give scouts an opportunity to sell popcorn.

When: Sunday October 4, 2026, from 10AM to 4PM.  Public welcome 12PM-3PM.

Where: The Public Square (Uptown Park) in Medina City where US42 and SR 18 meet. 

Who: Packs, Troops, Crews and Posts in the Soaring Eagle District

The District has rented out the entire Public Square for the day.  Each unit will be assigned to a quadrant.  The District will set up in the bandstand area.  Units should set up a pop-up shelter and table and have information on where and when their unit meets and what they do.  Units should prepare food to give samples away.  Food should be prepared in a Dutch oven, reflector oven, solar oven, cardboard box oven, trash can cooker, pie irons, tinfoil, wood-fired pizza oven or some other means of outdoor cooking not using a propane or electric grill/stove etc..
