Event Details

This training course is for new Scoutmasters, Assistant Scoutmasters, and Webelos Leaders moving up to Scout Troops, Committee Members, Chartered Organization Reps, Commissioners, or anyone else interested in attending.

The training is designed to help the new leader learn the basics of operating a Troop and to help the experienced leader get up to date. 

We cover: The Scouting Organization, Troop meetings, Advancement, the Outdoor Program, the role of the Scoutmaster and other adult leaders, the role of the Patrol Leaders Council and other important subjects. You will have the opportunity to discuss real life problems with other Scouters in the Great Trail Council and develop new friendships along with fellowship.

A minimum of 6 participants is required.

Check-in begins at 7:45am and a Continental Breakfast and lunch will be provided as part of the $6 cost. Classes begin at 8:00am and conclude at 12:30pm..
