Soaring Eagle 2022 District Klondike - The Endurance Expedition-Camp Manatoc - February 11, 12, and 13, 2022

Experience the adventures Ernest Shackleton and the crew of the Endurance faced during the first ever exploration of the frozen island of Antarctica. Reserve your campsite now and prepare for a journey to the South Pole’s frozen island. Cost is $15 per Scout and $5 per Adult

There will be eight stations, located throughout Camp Manatoc. Each station will be named after a point of Shackelton’s expedition and will be on an Orienteering map. The map will also have extra controls located throughout camp that will have questions on them about Ernest Shackleton and the expedition. Points will be awarded for correctly answering those questions when you turn your scorecard in at the end of the day.

So lets learn about the history of this expedition during the Heroic Age of Explorers and try your mettle against the station challenges to take home the 1st place plaque for Klondike 2022.

We are planning on having the Auction at the end of the Klondike in the Dining Hall . Each unit needs to bring a Scout related/appropriate item for the Auction.
