Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation

Let BALOO show you how!  This course is for any adult involved in Cub Scouts with a desire to plan and carry out an entry level outdoor experience for their Pack.  This is the first step in the BSA outdoor training program.  Each Cub Scout Pack overnight event must be under the direction of a BALOO trained adult.  Additionally, this new and improved course includes the training that all Webelos Den Leaders need to be able to plan & conduct (and survive) a Webelos Den overnight campout.  You do NOT have to be a registered leader to attend.

BALOO is an overnight training event, 8:00 AM Saturday, May 5, 2018 through 12:00 Noon Sunday May 6, 2018.

Fee includes meals & refreshments!

REQUIRED PREREQUISITE – Course participants MUST complete the online BALOO Prerequisite Training prior to attending this outdoor course.  To take the online course, login to my.scouting.org and click > My Dashboard > Training Center > Cub Scouting > Course Catalog > Expanded Learning > BALOO Prerequisite Training.  Approximately 40 minutes to complete.  Please print your certificate and bring it on May 5th.

Please see the attached documents at the right for more details and a recommended packing list for the overnight camping.  Participants are responsible for bringing all camping gear.  Tent camping is encouraged.  Cabins are available.

Fee: $25 if registered by April 24, 2018.  $30 if registered between April 25th and April 30th. Registration closes April 30, 2018.  No Walk-Ins Accepted for this Training.
