Introduction to Leadership Skills for Troops (ILST)

The purpose of the Introduction to Leadership Skills for Troops course is to teach Scouts with leadership positions about their new roles and how to most effectively reach success in that role. It is intended to help Scouts in leadership positions within their troop understand their responsibilities and to equip them with organizational and leadership skills to fulfill those responsibilities.

The course will run from 8:00am - 12:30pm in the Rotary Lodge at Camp Stambaugh on Saturday, May 3rd, 2025.

This course is primarily intended for youth in leadership positions in Scouts BSA Troops, but Scoutmasters or Asst. Scoutmasters are encouraged to attend as well so that they can learn how to conduct this course themselves within their Troop.

ILST is also a required prerequisite for Scouts attending NYLT.
