Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation

Does your Pack get outdoors enough?  Is it maximum fun?  Does everybody go?

Let BALOO show you how!  This course is for any adult involved in Cub Scouts with a desire to plan and carry out an entry level outdoor experience for their Pack.  This is the first step in the BSA outdoor training program.  Each Cub Scout Pack overnight event must be under the direction of a BALOO trained adult.  Additionally, this new and improved course includes the training that all Webelos Den Leaders need to be able to plan & conduct (and survive!) a Webelos Den overnight campout.  You do NOT have to be a registered leader to attend.

BALOO is an overnight training event, 6:00 pm on Friday October 18th through 9:00 pm October 19th. 

Fee includes meals & refreshments!

REQUIRED PREREQUISITE – Course participants MUST complete the online BALOO Prerequisite Training prior to attending this outdoor course.  To take the online course, login to my.scouting.org and click > My Dashboard > Training Center > Cub Scouting > Course Catalog > Expanded Learning > BALOO Prerequisite Training.  Approximately 50 minutes to complete.  Please print your certificate and bring it on October 18th.

Please see the attached documents at the right for more details and a recommended packing list for the overnight camping.  Participants are responsible for bringing all camping gear.  Tent camping is encouraged.  Cabins are available.

Fee: $25 if registered by October 8, 2019.  $30 if registered between October 9th and October 14th. Registration closes October 14, 2019.  No Walk-Ins Accepted for this Training.

Please bring a completed Annual Health and Medical Record, parts A&B. (C is not required)
