Scouts BSA Leader Training

This training course is for new Scoutmasters, Assistant Scoutmasters, and Troop Committee Members/Chairs, or anyone else interested in attending.

The training is designed to help the new leader learn the basics of operating a Troop and to help the experienced leader get up to date.

We cover: The Scouting Organization, Troop meetings, Advancement, the Outdoor Program, the role of the Scoutmaster and other adult leaders, the role of the Patrol Leaders Council and other important subjects. You will have the opportunity to discuss real-life problems with other Scouters in the Great Trail Council and develop new friendships along with fellowship.

Saturday, February 14, 2026, 8:00am to 1:30pm at St. Matthew Parish, 2580 Berne St, Akron (easiest to park and enter)

Check-In 8:00am - 8:30am , Class 8:30am - 1:30pm, refreshments provided.
