Theme:       The Bigfoot Hike and Seek Challenge

Date:         Saturday, October 18th, 2025    Time: Noon -6:00pm

Cost:           $10 per Scout

Where: Check-in as well as the finish line will be at the Buena Vista Cabin.

What: A fun event for Cub Scouts and Scouts BSA units based on events like Warrior Runs/Spartan Dashes/Olympic Biathlons, etc.

There are five (5) courses of different lengths: ½ mile, 1 mile, 3 miles, 5 miles, and 7 miles.  Your team can do any course they want, but some guidelines are

Indiana Bat (IB): ½ mile  - designed for ages  5-7 years (Lions, Tigers, Wolves); allow  1-1.5hours to complete

Manatee (M): 1 mile – designed for ages 7-9 (Wolves, Bears, Webelos) Allow 1.5-2 hours to complete

Key Deer (KD): 3 miles- designed for ages 9-11 (Webelos, AOL, Scout); Allow  2-3 hours to complete

Gray Wolf (GW):5 miles – designed for ages 11-14 years (Scout, Tenderfoot, Second Class, First Class); allow 3-4 hours to complete

Florida Panther (FP): 7 miles – designed for ages 14-17years (First Class, Star, Life, Eagle): allow 4-5 hours to complete

This is a team event.  All teams must cross the finish line together, and they will receive a medal for finishing.  Teams will be organized by age with Lions/Tigers/Wolves; Bears/Webelos/AOLs; Scouts 11-14 years and 14-17 years.  Each team should have between 4-7 members (not including adults)

There will be snacks at the finish and a time to gather and enjoy each other’s company.
