Poles and Ropes and More.

You are invited to participate in a Pioneering weekend at Camp Nushka. We will be starting off the summer season with a combined set of new scout activities and advanced pioneering projects. The morning will be broken into several stations that will have new scout activities (as requested by the leaders in advance for the newer scouts.) There will be stations to refresh the experienced scouts in Knots, Lashings, Splicing, and Rope Making. There will be a planning session for youth leaders to plan the predetermined projects and gather materials (supplied by staff). The proposed projects at this time are a gateway and a sectional bridge. If there are enough participants, we may try a signal tower so the Old (think leaders) scouts can demonstrate semaphore signaling.  There will be other activities throughout the day and a church service and campfire at the end of the Saturday Activity Day.
