D7 Cub Scouts Adult Leader Training

These in-person, instructor-led courses are designed to help Scouters learn how to carry out their Scouting roles effectively and help leaders understand the aims and methods of scouting to assist our youth and adults in their scouting journey.. In most cases, completing the course will make a Scouter “trained” for the role(s) covered in the course, in this case, den leader, member of the committee, committee chair, Cubmaster, and charter organization reps.
All adult leaders are first required to take Youth Protection Training. When that is completed, training for each position in Cub Scouting is available online or in person. Leaders who complete Youth Protection Training and Position Specific Training earn the right to wear the trained patch on the left sleeve of their uniform, beneath the patch representing the position for which they are trained.
