Camp Grafton Merit Badge Weekend | 10th Anniversary

Join us for a one of a kind merit badge weekend at Camp Grafton, hosted by the North Dakota National Guard! This popular event only happens once a year and always fills quickly, so register today to secure your spot. This year, we are celebrating the 10th anniversary of this event! Scouts will sleep in bunks, enjoy meals in the dining hall, and have the unique opportunity to learn directly from the instructors in the National Guard, who will help teach merit badge sessions. This event is always a hit with Scouts every year!

Scouts and adults must complete the waivers & agreements which will be sent via email closer to the event. Registration must be completed online prior to attending. Youth Scouts BSA members are $65 and adults are $50. Registration closes at 11:59 PM on Saturday, September 12.

• Drafting – 14
• Home Repairs – 14
• Orienteering – 16
• Plumbing – 16
• Surveying – 14
• Cooking – 6

Additional merit badge opportunities will be added to the schedule and communicated as they are confirmed. Please stay tuned for a final schedule and other required forms as we get closer to the event start. 

Important Notes:

• Adults must have a photo ID to enter Camp Grafton.
• Scouts and adults must each bring AHMR Medical Forms A & B.
• All meals and sleeping arrangements are provided. Please bring a sleeping bag (or sheets and blankets) and a pillow.
• Merit badge blue cards will be sent out electronically, similar to other council events.

Schedule and Location:

• Arrival: Friday, September 18 between 7:00 and 9:00 PM
• Departure: Sunday, September 20 by 10:00 AM
• Location: Camp Grafton, 5 miles south of Devils Lake on Highway 20

Friday night will include crackerbarrell, check-in, and a brief welcome session. Saturday will include meals and merit badges, along with a movie night and presentation from a recruiter. We will have breakast and check-out on Sunday morning.
