STEMB @ ECU: Explore, Learn, and Earn!
Step onto the East Carolina University campus for a hands-on day of STEM learning! STEM B @ ECU connects Scouts with ECU faculty and staff to explore university facilities and work on STEM-related merit badges taught directly by campus experts.
Participants will get a taste of college life in Pirate Nation while learning about technical and scientific fields.
Event Options & Pricing
Option 1 — Day Session ($25.00): 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM | Opportunity to earn up to 2 merit badges. Includes classes, campus tour, lunch, snacks, and an event patch.
Option 2 — Full Day & Evening Session ($35.00): 8:00 AM – 9:00 PM | Opportunity to earn up to 3 merit badges with additional evening activities. Includes all daytime programming, dinner, and evening merit badge sessions.
Adult Leaders ($15.00): Covers lunch for attending leaders.
Offered Merit Badges & Topics
Courses are taught by university professors, instructors, and specialists:
Technology & Engineering: Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cybersecurity, Digital Technology
Science & Math: Astronomy, Chemistry, Geology, Nuclear Science, Plant Science
Applied Sciences & Professions: Veterinary Medicine, Fingerprinting, Scholarship
(Note: Badge completion is not guaranteed; Scouts must actively participate and complete any required prerequisites to earn full credit.)

When: Saturday, November 14, 2026 (Check-in starts at 8:00 AM at the Graham Building)
Where: East Carolina University Campus (501 E 10th St, Greenville, NC 27858)
Uniform: Field (Class A) Uniform required with Class B underneath
Required Items: Completed Health Forms A & B, water bottle, day bag, and pre-session prerequisites
